Alto Singles Network

Membership Terms

These Membership Terms apply to participation in the Alto Singles Network (“the Network”), operated by Alto Matchmaking (“Alto”).

1. Introduction‍ ‍

The Alto Singles Network is a private network of singles who may be considered for matchmaking opportunities involving Alto clients, clients of independent matchmakers with whom Alto collaborates, or other suitable members of the Network.

Joining the Network is free. Membership is not a matchmaking service and does not mean that Alto has been engaged to actively search for matches on a member’s behalf.

2. Eligibility and joining the Network

You must be at least 18 years old to join the Network.

To join the Network, you must complete and submit the required profile information. By submitting your profile, you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and accurate to the best of your knowledge.

Once you have completed and submitted the required profile information, your profile may be included in the Network.

3. Matchmaking opportunities

Membership in the Network allows Alto to consider your profile for potential matchmaking opportunities with Alto’s clients or with clients of Alto’s partner matchmakers.

Alto determines, at its discretion, which profiles it reviews or considers for a particular opportunity. Where Alto identifies a potential opportunity, Alto may contact you to confirm your interest, obtain further information, or arrange a conversation before deciding whether to proceed with an introduction.

Membership does not guarantee that your profile will be reviewed, that you will be contacted or interviewed, that you will be presented with a potential match or introduced to another person, or that you will receive any particular number or frequency of matchmaking opportunities.

Alto may decide at any stage not to proceed with a potential Introduction and is not required to provide reasons for that decision.

4. Your responsibilities

While you are a member of the Network, you agree to provide truthful information and to keep material information in your profile reasonably up to date.

You agree to communicate and behave respectfully when interacting with Alto, Alto’s clients, other Network members, and prospective matches.

5. Confidentiality and prospective matches

Information Alto shares with you about another person in connection with a potential Introduction is private and confidential.

You may use this information only for the purpose of considering the potential Introduction. You must not publish, forward, distribute, reproduce for another person, or otherwise share another person’s profile, photographs, contact details, or other personal information with third party.

If Alto provides access to information through a time-limited link, the fact that access later expires does not end your confidentiality obligations.

If Alto asks you to delete or return information relating to a potential match, you agree to do so promptly.

6. Independent contact

Being shown or told about a prospective match does not constitute permission to independently locate or contact that person.

Unless Alto informs you otherwise, initial contact between prospective matches should be facilitated by Alto.

If you already know, recognise, or have previously been in contact with a person Alto presents to you, please let Alto know without delay.

7. Membership duration and profile status

Network membership is generally active for up to 12 months.

Alto may ask you to confirm that you remain interested in participating in the Network and that your profile information is still current.

If you do not respond to a request for confirmation, or Alto otherwise has reason to believe that you are no longer actively participating in the Network, your profile may be made inactive.

Inactive Network profiles may be deleted after three months, subject to Alto’s Privacy Policy and any applicable legal retention requirements.

You are welcome to rejoin the Network later by submitting a profile.

8. Ending or suspending membership

You may leave the Network at any time by contacting Alto at info@altomatchmaking.com.

Alto may suspend or end a membership where, for example, a member provides materially false or misleading information, behaves inappropriately towards Alto or one of Alto’s clients, misuses confidential information, breaches these Membership Terms, or where Alto reasonably determines that continued participation in the Network is no longer appropriate with regard to the purpose or operation of the Network.

Ending Network membership does not end obligations concerning confidential information already received.

The handling and deletion of personal data following the end of membership is governed by Alto’s Privacy Policy and applicable data-protection law.

9. Privacy and personal data

Alto processes personal data provided in connection with the Network for purposes including administering the Network and assessing potential matchmaking opportunities.

Further information about how Alto collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal data, including information about your data-protection rights, is provided in our Privacy Policy.

10. Changes to these terms

Alto may update these Membership Terms from time to time, including to reflect changes to the Network, Alto’s processes, or applicable law.

Alto will inform existing members of material changes as appropriate.

11. Governing Law

These Membership Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany.

If you are a consumer resident outside Germany, this choice of law does not deprive you of any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you under applicable law.
